From the moment the colorful invitations by The MOD Studio arrived, guests couldn’t wait to find out what was in store for the second annual PAPI Party.
PAPI, short for the Performing Arts Programs, Inc., is the creator of the playbills for many of Austin’s arts groups and performance venues, including the Long Center, Paramount Theater, Zach Scott, and Texas Performing Arts Center. Guests at the event were an equal mix of Austin’s arts set and arts supporters.
As guests arrived, they were swept into an exotic, Latin nightclub. The AustinVentures Studio Theater was transformed with golden draping, cocktail tables and plush white lounges and stunning artistic floral displays by the always impressive Mandarin Flower Co. Guests noshed on themed beverages and nibbles as they mingled to the backdrop of Luis Banuelo’s flamenco guitar strumming.
Here’s to another year, PAPI, and hopefully another party to celebrate!
